Padang Bai Harbor

Padang Bai is the practical port, not the pretty one. It is public, ASDP-linked, and split in travellers’ minds between two very different products: passenger fast boats to the Gilis/Bangsal, and the slower roll-on ferry to Lembar that can take vehicles. Fast boats are what most tourists book for Gili Trawangan and Gili Air. The ASDP ferry is the budget, vehicle-friendly Lombok option, usually a 4-5 hour sea leg before road time on the Lombok side. Different beast. Do not mix them up.
