Chumphon (Thung Makham Noi Pier)
Chumphon is the usual mainland pier for Koh Tao if you are coming down from Bangkok by overnight train or bus. The pier is Thung Makham Noi, not Chumphon town, and most tickets include the road transfer between the two. Lomprayah publishes approximately 45 to 90 minutes for its high-speed services and notes that schedules vary.
